Within the mind of man there is also a library, one that is far more expansive and complex than any library out there.

COLLECTIVELY, the libraries of the world hold within them all the information concerning the history of man and his environment from when history was first recorded to the present day, including his many discoveries, achievements and advancements in the sciences, which includes his explorations and deliberations of the land, the planet and the universe in which he lives.

a-headerOUTSIDE of our ego’s library is outside of our mind. We have never been ‘out of our mind’ and as long as we believe we are our ego, the person we think we are, we will never take that momentous, life changing step. Why? Because outside of our mind everything is new, fresh and dynamic – and very, very scary, because it is unknown.

HARKING back to our librarian, should she ever dare venture outside of her library, she would find herself in a very strange place, a place where she has never been before. No longer having access to her trusted reference books of the past, she would feel very vulnerable, exposed and in danger.

The Library 5

EVENTUALLY our ego must succumb to the ravages of time and although we may be kicking and screaming all the way to the threshold, we must finally face the light outside – which for our ego means death and oblivion – but not to our true selves. In truth we have experienced the end of myriad lifetimes and so physical death holds no threat to our continuation.
