Life After Life
DO WE SURVIVE DEATH? After our life is over, do we then earn the right to a period of R and R in the afterlife before we are once again reincarnated? Or is it the case that when our life ends we are immediately reincarnated? Or worse case scenario, is this a onetime life experience – and then we do not exist anymore?
Even if our ego self, (our everyday mind and body) doesn’t survive death…is that who we truly are? Or, as religion infers, are we Spirit, an eternal Soul, presently imagining a physical life experience before waking up (physical death) and remembering the truth of our forever-ness?
If, as is claimed, our ego self ceases to exist when the body dies, why then should we be curious? What difference could it possibly make? It makes a lot of difference. It’s important to ask these questions because there is an Intelligence within us that does survive death… that does want to learn (or remember).
And you have all the wherewithal to become conscious of that Awareness. Awareness is not a gift that some of us have and some of us don’t. It is not an attribute that we must earn through some sort of mental effort (deep thinking, meditation, etc.) Awareness is our birthright.
You have it right now. It is not so much a question of whether you have it, but of whether you are using it. All of us have the gift of Awareness, yet not all are aware of that Awareness. When you are aware that you are Aware, your experience of Awareness shifts to a new level… You become Consciously Aware.
Questions like, ‘do I survive death’ are important to consider in your waking up process. Realize that the known self (the person you think you are) cannot find reality. The personal self with which you are so familiar with can never rise above its own level.
But by being curious about everything that is occurring in your life, by questioning every perplexity, without trying to find the answers, allows your True Eternal Self, the Intelligent Awareness within to answer those questions for you…
Dan’s Quote: “Being suspicious that you may be other than who you think you are,
_____________ opens the doorway to the realization of your true reality.”
