A World Of Our Own
EVERYTHING THAT WE ARE AWARE OF in the world that’s wrapped around us, including our own bodies is not real. It’s all a fabrication of our mind built up from birth according to our ever changing emotions and beliefs of what we have been told and imagined the world to be like.
In our present state of mind the thought that the world we see is an illusion is hard to come to terms with. We take it for granted that what we see and hear on the media and what other people tell us is real. But is it real or just more second hand perceptions of the world that has been surreptitiously placed within our mind.
As an exercise, at those times when you are not happy with a situation in your life, instead of believing that outside influences are to blame, try instead to consider the possibility that the cause lies within your mind, not outside of it. By doing this, you have the opportunity to evolve mentally.
“We are only imagining a lifetime in this time, this place. We are just passing through
in a dream. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love…
and then reawaken in our true home.”
Ask yourself; “What would happen if I changed my mind about the world? Would my world then change?” No matter where you may go, you take your perception of the world with you. Everything you see is really only a reflection of your own state of mind and because we all have a different state of mind to one degree or another, we all see a different world.
For instance, if we look around and we see anger, fear, and suffering of any kind, it is the result of the WAY we see, not WHAT we see. By us being stuck with an emotional, somewhat self centred belief about the world, we are blinded to the truth that underlies everything.
Because of this incomplete way of seeing, each of us suffers in our own personal way…
Dan’s Quote: “The world we see has no reality in and of itself.
_____________It is only an imaginary world conforming to whatever we believe it is.”

The idea that the reality that we see through our eyes is not the reality that actually happens and that each person lives in their own subjective reality is also a question I think about a lot. Your perspective is pretty similar to mine, though. Cheers 🙂
