When Is An Emotion Not An Emotion?

Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park, Tasmania.

IF LOVE, JOY AND PEACE are the essence of who you truly are, then why aren’t they more predominate in your life? Because at this stage of your evolution they cannot be fully experienced while in human form.

Why? Because your mind is dominated almost entirely by ‘the person you think you are’… and that person, ‘the thinker in your head’ lives in time and space… in the remembered past and the anticipated future.

True Love, Joy and Peace can never be found there. They can only be found by living in the ‘Now’ moment… and because you are continually thinking about what has happened before and the prospects of what might happen later, very little of your life is lived Now.

Yes I know, you have heard about living in the ‘Now’ for many years, but why can’t you experience it first hand? Because you would have to leave your habitual thinking self behind… and that would be scary because you wouldn’t know who you were.

Thinking about love, joy and peace is not the same as Being Love, Joy and Peace. Your habitual, thinking mind distorts them. You regard them as emotions, which they are not. They are your underlying True Nature.

Your warped ideas regarding these feelings which could be bundled together as pleasure, is something to chase after, but what happens if they allude you or you think you have it and then lose it? You get their opposite. True Love, Joy and Peace has no opposites.

Listen to your heart, not your mind. Know that no matter what happens in your life you are safe. Love, Joy and Peace are your eternal inheritance, but to experience them ‘Now’ you must evolve beyond your present mindset.

Apart from your normal daily routine of surviving in this physical world, you must try and curtail your habitual thinking, and cease living in the past and future.

Do you know that the greatest risk you can ever take is to come out from behind that false facade of ‘who you think you are’ and show yourself as the Loving, Joyful, Peaceful Being you truly are… Have you got the courage to try and do that?..

Dan’s Quote: “Any unexpected event in your life holds a lesson within it.
______________Listen carefully to what it is trying to teach you.”
