THE ROLE WE PLAY…
IMAGINE for a moment that you are dressed as a gorilla for a role in a play. A very strange thing happens though once you put on the gorilla costume – instead of maintaining your human identity – you firmly believe you really are a gorilla so you live like one, sleeping in the trees, eating roots and leaves and madly thumping your chest.
You experience all the emotions of living a jungle life believing it’s your reality, but eventually, as the final act approaches, you are on your death bed fearing that your life as a gorilla will end — which it does. Then you take off the gorilla costume and remember who you really are, a human being playing the part of a gorilla in a story about life in the jungle.
It’s the same with your life story. You are dressed as an ego/body for your role in a play. When the final act ends and you die, you take off your human costume and remember who you really are, an eternal spirit/soul playing the part of a human being in a story about life on earth…
