DESTINY…

OUR  lives appear on the surface to be happenstance, a set of random events that make up each day, but that is not so. There are no accidents, everything has a purpose. From the very beginning, our mind was set up with a set of tools, including free will, that would allow us to learn from our mistakes and progress towards our ultimate destiny.

At the beginning, we had a lot to learn. Our physical evolution is doing okay, our body has adapted as our circumstances changed and will keep adapting as we go along – in that we have no control. Physical evolution is governed by natural selection, an automatic, physical adjustment to our ever changing influences and environment.

Mental evolution is different however. Although our mind has evolved over time to cope with our survival, it has now become our response-ability to continue its development. We are the only ones privy to the awareness of self behind our eyes and the secret thoughts that are churning around in that private space between our ears.

It is obvious that any substantial progress humanity might make must first be accomplished within ourselves. The fantastic thing is that although it is up to each one of us to change individually, if we can do that, the whole of humanity will benefit, for our minds are linked.

Physically, our basic body structure has changed in unison as our environment diversified, in other words, all human body’s are synchronized. Even though some humans may have experienced different influences and conditions in different parts of the world, our bodies collectively, have adapted and evolved together.

It is the same with our mental evolution, only one of us needs to change for all of humankind to do the same. That is what evolution is all about.

As our name ‘Human Being’ implies, we come in two parts, (a) Human and (b) Being. Our ‘Humanness’ or physicality, has evolved as it should, now it is time for our ‘Beingness’, or mentality to catch up.

We are privileged to have received this gift of life, for as human beings, our destiny is to play a vital role in the ever unfolding story of the universe – In fact, we are ‘The Stars’…
