Two Worlds 20

BELIEVING WE ARE A BODY WITH A NAME enables us to fully immerse ourselves in the physical drama. Once our life term comes to an end, we re-enter the light and remember the truth of who you really are – eternal and indestructible.

Experiencing physical life whilst believing we are this ego has caused us some problems. We tend to take it all too seriously, suffering negativity like anger, anxiety, frustration and the fear that we will suffer either physically or mentally, or that our very existence may be jeopardized at any time.

So then, how can we possibly relax and enjoy our life movie? Not by any physical or mental effort, that is only our ego trying to do what is impossible for it to do. We need to stop trying to control our life.

Instead have the courage to trust in the process, become aware of the now moment and unconditionally accept whatever is happening in our life, without trying to change it – for the truth is, we can’t.

We must stop thinking so much. We should try to just enjoy the movie. We are someone entirely different to who we think we are. We will remember the truth when our present ‘life movie’ ends and we return to the light. Then, with a sigh of relief we’ll exclaim “Wow, why was I so anxious? Everything is really okay”.

Realizing that the world we see is an illusion, a world that’s created to provide the lessons we need to learn, is very important for our progress. Once we understand that, we tend not to take life quite so seriously. If we relate it to watching a movie, we are then able to stand aside somewhat and view it without identifying with the ongoing life drama. More like a spectator or bystander.

We always have the choice of changing movies if what we are seeing is not what we want. We can get up at any time and go to another theatre. Of course we also have that opportunity by committing suicide, as too many people do, but that is not a solution…
